Where is normal?

Can't find normal. Used to be between newsletters and planners in ver. X. I
now see something at bottom looks like it, but has lot of Chinese text to
the right of it.

A lot of people here have that problem. :)

It's in ~/Documents/Microsoft User Data, where it should have been all
along. In other words, each user now has a Normal template. m.
Thanks matt: I agree. Makes it easier because each month I save the whole
users folder and now don't now have to dig in the apps folder for it. But
what is that document in app that looks like the normal file, except it has
weird Chinese text next to it?

I think it would also be nice then if Excel put it's workbook and personal
workbook there as well. No?

You can always put them in a folder within the MUD folder and designate
that folder as an alternate startup folder (Preferences/General)...

JE:
What is a MUD folder, and would I put both workbook and personal workbook
there? Would they still also be in Apps folder?

MUD folder ===> ~:Documents:Microsoft User Data

Put a folder in the MUD folder and set that as your alternate startup
folder.

No - remove them from the Apps folder.
