Where is the clip art?

I have just bought 2k4 to replace vX (both Education versions) cause I want
the new features- including improved Applescript. Comparing the two versions
I see very little clipart in the new one, and where are all the assistants?
(Not that I would actually use the assistant ... but it's the principle of
the thing!)

They took them off the CD for space reasons--supposedly they will one day
put them on the net for download. However, until that day, you can
perfectly well use the assistants and clipart from Office X (or Office
2001), but you have to manually drag the files from the CD Value Pack to the
hard drive, not use the installer.

I forgot exactly how this is done, but it has certainly been discussed on
this group before, so if you need step-by-step instructions, you might find
them by searching.
Archived on google.

Just insert the CD.

Or if you still have Office X installed, you can copy them from there.

Thanks, both of you!

I know I should have been following threads posted about this, but I didn't
think i was going to upgrade! As for the "copying across", do I have to do
anything to get the Clip Art viewer to recognise them?

"Saving space"?
VirtPC comes on 3 CDs! (I suppose 2.5 of those are WinXP though!)
DVD versions next?

No, not really, and I didn't mean to imply so. The threads were quite a
while back.

I think just make sure you put them in the same place as the little bit of
Clip Art that did come with. Maybe in the personal folder. You might have to
experiment a bit. Be sure to quit everything first.
"Saving space"?

I thought I remembered checking the Office 2004 CD and noticing it was quite
close to the limit, and saying to myself "oh, I guess that wasn't just bs
about the clipart..." vague memory, though. :)
