I would like to look at the parameters that the delete junk mail schedule uses but I can't find the schedule. It is not where other schedules are: Tools/Schedules. Anyone know where it is?

Under Tools in the Menu bar, select Junk E-Mail Protection. There is an
option in the window to delete from junk mail folder after xx days.

Thanks, Diane. I had set that value previously but was looking for a regular schedule dialog box -- judging from your answer there probably isn't one and all control is managed through the Junk E-Mail Protection diaglog box.

There is a schedule for Deleted Items folder. Starting in Entourage 2008
when you delete from the Junk Mail Folder, it permanently deletes. Really if
it's junk why move it to Deleted Items folder?

This is how I view and manage my Junk Mail Folder.

1) I sort by Account. This help me see which account is getting spammed.
2) I scan for good mail. If I find good mail, I use shortcut
Command-Option-C to "Add to Address Book" assign that contact a category.
After you save, that message should be automatically moved to the Inbox. If
not click on "this is not junk" in the message bar.
3) Once all good mail is moved out, I do a Command-A (select all) and nuke
it.

If you do this a few times a day, the amount of spam is more easily viewed
because it's not just a long list.

You can use the delete key but then you have to OK. I use the nuke messages
script so I can do this in one action. When you nuke it, it's permanently
deleted. This is good for those newsletters and announcements that take up
so much space. Once you read it, nuke it.

Nuke Messages:

Also in my Account under the Options tab I have selected "when deleted from
computer, delete from server". This keeps my quota down and if for some
reason servers burp and I end up downloading duplicates I won't have to
download all those spam messages again.

Hope this helps!
