where is the Fax and scan app. in Home and Student?

scan won't work Acer laptop + HP5610 all-in-one, but prints and copies OK.
Downloaded all sorts but no joy. Says is blocked by or needs: slbcsp.dll;
sccbase.dll; gpkcsp.dll;Enum. Can anybody help please? Kevin
