Where is the Multilingual User Interface Pack?

Ji Zhou [MSFT]

Hello Dave,

Please refer the following link
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/suites/FX102113661033.aspx to get more
information about Office 2007 MUI. And I did not find any information about
2003 MUI from Microsoft official site, but I think they are still available
from the retail vendor. The following link shows the list from the google
products search:
http://www.google.com/products?q=Office+2003+MUI&hl=en&show=dd

Could I ask about for what purpose we are requiring the Office MUI in the
solution? Are you running into the well know locale issue documented in
this link: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa537159.aspx. If that
is our case, beside installing Office MUI, another solution is using
Reflection to pass the desired locale id. Code looks like:

static object SetPropertyInternational(object target, string name,
params object[] args)
{
return target.GetType().InvokeMember(name,
System.Reflection.BindingFlags.SetProperty |
System.Reflection.BindingFlags.Public |
System.Reflection.BindingFlags.Instance,
null, target, args, new System.Globalization.CultureInfo(1033));
}

SetPropertyInternational(Me.Range("A5"), "Formula", "=SUM(12, 34)");

Hope this information helps! If you need any future assistance on this,
please feel free to let me know.

Best regards,

Hi David,
Any nin en-us users of Excel need it for an AddIn that calls Excel.
Which version of Excel/Office? And do these users belong to an entity
with volume licenses (depending on the version of Office, MLP may be
available only to companies with a volume license).

Yep - that lovely Excel "issue." We're now going to wrap each call in
an IDisposable object that will switch the culture to en-US and in the
Dispose() switches it back. That seems to be a better approach as the
MUI is not available to all.

thanks - dave
