Where is the option to reveal codes?

I'm working with a table and trying to reveal codes. I believe the symbol
for this command looks like a pi symbol. If anyone knows where it is please
let me know! Thanks.

Hi
Word doesn't have reveal codes like Wordperfect did.

If you mean you want to display non printing characters on screen then you
can do this by pressing Control + Shift + 8 (unless that keystroke has been
hijacked!), or you can click on the backwards P character on the Standard
toolbar.

You can choose which non printing characters to view by going to Tools >
Options > View and selecting the ones you want. I use tabs, paragraph marks
and hidden text as this makes the screen clearer than when using all of them.

If you want to see the formatting applied to your text, press Shift + F1 and
then place your cursor on the text you want to look at. If you are using Word
2000 you will see a balloon telling you the text format. If you are using XP/
2003 you will see an information pane on the right hand side of the screen
showing you the formatting applied to the paragraph. (Shift F1 doesn't work
in text boxes though!)
