Where is the picture file located for outlook contacts?

I was using Outlook 2003 and linked some of my contacts to various picture
files. I had used .jpg images. I have since transferred the Outlook file to
my new Vista computer and I am using Outlook 2007. But I notice that the
image files are still there (which is good). The only problem is I cannot
find where Outlook is storing those pictures. My guess here is that it has
cached these in the outlook.pst file. Can some verify that this is indeed
true?

they are cached within the contact.
