Where is the promised new OpenType support on Word 2007?

Hello Office people,

I have a bad feeling that no new OpenType support is coming in Word 2007. I
have to say that on the end this is ridiculous. The enhanced OpenType support
was promised in product guide as published at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/preview/programs/word/guide.mspx. In reality
it seems that the Office 2007 Premium for 679USD will give me no new Latin
script OpenType support while free download of Windows Presentation
Foundation that I can install on a OEM Windows XP Home machine is full of
cool OpenType features as you can see at
http://blogs.msdn.com/text/archive/2006/05/07/545859.aspx. I am typography
savvy and I was keen to hear about better OpenType support in new Word. Now I
can only dream that may be in 2015 we will see something.

What about "Beta" software do you not understand? Beta as in, unfinished,
lacking RTM features, subject to change, etc.?
