Where is the "Undo" Feature

J

Just Judy

Hi folks,

I hope I'm in the right place. I'm running Microsoft Office
Word 2003 on a WinXP-SP2 machine. I am looking for the Word Undo
command so that, for example, if I delete a paragraph, and then
realize, "Ooops, I didn't want to do that," I can go to Edit|Undo, and
presto/zappo, the paragraph returns.

But I can't find the Edit|Undo command. Under Edit, there is
only Cut, Copy, Office Clipboard, Paste & Paste Special. I did an F1
for Microsoft Office Word Help, and below is what I found:

"1. On the Standard toolbar (toolbar: A bar with buttons
and options that you use to carry out commands. To display a toolbar,
click Customize on the Tools menu, and then click the Toolbars tab.),
click the arrow next to Undo."

I did that, taking particular care to be at the Standard
toolbar. There was no "Undo" anywhere to be found. :( Every text
program I run has an Undo, and I know Word has it, but I'm danged if I
can find it.

What am I missing, besides my mind? Please reply to the group;
I'll be back here in the hope some kind guru/guruette can help me.

Thanks for your time,

Put cursor in grey area of toolbar/Rclick/Customise/Commands/Edit/drag the
Undo button onto the toolbar/Close.

Thank you so much, Rob, for solving my problem. I wish
Microsoft had just left it where it was, under the Edit command.
especially because I prefer to use keystrokes, rather than clicking any
little buttons.

Thanks again; you are appreciated,
