On Joe's PC when he types into the To... field the name of a person in our
network (we'll call him informally Dick Smith) the name is automatically
resolved as he types. He clicks the tab key to accept the name (Dick Smith)
and the underlying email address.
This email address has a period appended to it, i.e. "(e-mail address removed).".
Note the period after com. Within Joe's Contacts folder I have verified that
Richard Smith's email address has no period on the end.
If Joe clicks the To... button and selects Richard Smith the email is
formatted properly, i.e. Richard Smith (e-mail address removed). But when Joe
simply starts typing in Dick Smith and is offered a contact, that selection
has a period after com, i.e. Dick Smith (e-mail address removed)..
I state all of this because this implies to me that this name is stored in
more than one place. I've search through Joe's Contact folder and only see
one entry for this person and that email address is correct.
Is Windows storing another email address using Richard's nickname, Dick,
somewhere else on the PC?
Thanks,
AJ
