where to report trouble with word 2003?

Most are over the past week or 10 days and under the names P Vault,
Roman2nd.

Here is my problem again--

I have an HP m385 (2.8 GHz, 7200 RPM disk, 512 of 2700 Memory) and if I
click on a 30K doc file in explorer it takes 18 - 25 seconds to load word
2003 and the file.

My ibm 600X laptop (500MHz, 5400PM drive, and 192 memory) loads word 2002
and the same file in 4 seconds.

Duh.

If there's a MS Word guru here, please reply, as I am on the point of
returning the system even though I know it's software problem of some kind.
I just can't find the answer.

BTW, all other programs load and operate normally. A 200 page PDF file loads
into Adobe Acrobat in 5 seconds or so.

Do you have any Word add-ins that have to be loaded or anti-virus software?
Norton Anti-Virus can significantly slow down file read/write operations
with Office products.

1st thing i did was remove norton anti-virus. have no word add-ins that i
know of.
this is word 2003.
i have uninstalled and reinstalled office 2003 (it's the student/teacher
version).
problem persists.
clicking on word icon, word loads in 1 sec.
from inside word, 20 page file loads in 1 sec.
click on same file in Explorer and it takes 18-25 secs to load word and
file.
