Where to start

I collect certain metrics from each of our seven supervisors.

Right now, they have Excel workbooks, which they fill out, print and leave
on my desk at the beginning of each month. Each supervisor turns in the
contents of between two and ten workbooks. This information is entered into
an Excel workbook, analyzed, and inserted into a Powerpoint presentation.

I'm investigating a better way to do this.

I'm thinking Infopath might be the solution. Or Acrobat.

Thoughts on where to start would be appreciated.
