Where's the "Don't float" graphic feature in Word 2000?

Rosalie, try right-clicking on the picture, select 'format
object', then select the layout tab. You can change
wrapping style and many other things there.

However, I've occasionally had times when I've wanted to
convert an 'in front of text' floating object to "in line
with text", and it's been disabled for some reason. I
have no idea why this happens. If anyone knows, and can
tell me how to get around it, I'd really appreciate the
input. It drives me crazy!
Thanks in advance-
Robin

Some objects can't be inline in Word 2000 (for example, I believe Word 2002
added the ability to make text boxes, WordArt, and drawing objects (?)
inline).
