Where the text associated with my shape in the shape sheet?

The reason I want to know, is because I'd like that text to be a variable
and It'd be nice to have that text updated when a change is made.

I'm pulling all sorts of custom properties from an excel file via ODBC
connection (finally got it working like it seems it's supposed to be). In
the excel document is the hostname for all my servers, I'd like that hostname
populated to the shape's text. Is that enough information?

Once the shapes have custom properties, modify them by opening the text
block. (This is down right to the shape, not the shapesheet).

From the Insert Menu select field and select Custom Properties for the
Category. Then select the appropriate custom property.

Now when you use these shapes, the text block will be filld with te content
of one (or more) of the custom properties.

In a text block, you can mix fixed text and several "insert fields".
