Where's the trial of Office 2008 (a "Try and Buy" option)

I've been using the NEW/UPDATED Office 2007 for some time on my PC (because I REQUIRED A FEATURE), and now just converted to an iMac. Before I drop Office 2007 (running in emulation mode on a guest XP OS), I would not want to pay $150 and not like the new 2008 UI. So, anyone know how I can install for say 30-60 d. before registering. Btw, I do not see a trial version for 2008, but there is one for office 2007 for a PC. I want the same on my new iMac!

MS products for Mac don't offer download/activate/register path as PC Office
& as yet there is no trial version available. You can find out more at:

And to keep informed about trial availability you might want to subscribe to
the newsletter via a link on that page. FYI - The Office 2008 UI follows the
more conventional pattern (referred to as Classic in PC-speak) rather than
having adopted the Ribbon used in 2007.

And if there's an Apple store anywhere near you, you can try out Office 2008
there.
