Which application is best for order forms?

Hi everybody!

in a current project I'm working on, I need to create order forms for our
customers.

BUT: the form should be pre-populated with the customer's details (name,
address, customer# and so on), the items he's ordered in the past, and,
finally, some item suggestions he's not ordered so far, but that he might
find useful.

Data for these three sections comes from three separate Access queries, all
linked together by the customer number.

All the customer should have to fill out are the quantities desired, if
possible in an electronic form that can be returned by e-mail. This would
mean that the form should be mailed to the customer in Outlook to the e-mail
address that comes with the customer's details.

Prize question: what would be the ideal application for setting up such a
project? InfoPath? Adobe LiveCycle? Plain old Access?

Thanks for any tips and advice!

Since you are going to host the forms in outlook, i'd recommend you to
accomplish this taks using Infopath. Because both are MS products.

InfoPath would be the best but it requires that the users of the form either
have Infopath or you host the form in a browser or have remote terminal
sessions with InfoPath for them to fill it out with.

You should look at the Database Accelerator if you are integrating with a
database. It gives you much greater flexibility and security when working
with the data tables.
