About 2 months ago, the send/receive process in Outlook 2003 started locking
up. It will send without problem but receiving it locks up. The strange thing
is it works sometimes. I uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled and the process
works for about a day and then reverted back to constantly locking up. Any
ideals? The server settings are: (pop3) mail.comcast.net (smtp)
smtp.comcast.net.
Secondly, I have another email service NetZero (The server settings are:
(pop3) pop.netzero.com (smtp) smtp.netzero.com) which I download messages to
Outlook 2003. Can I use the Comcast (smtp) server as the outgoing server for
NetZero? Note: I want to use one server for all outgoing mail. I have tried
multiple combinations before and after the lockup problems started. I guess I
am trying to make should what I am attempting is not causing problems with
Outlook 2003. Also, I uninstalled Outlook and tried Mozilla Thunderbird and
it works with no problem but you do not have the rich features of Outlook.
Any ideals?
