Which files to backup without using export function

A

ayric

Hello!

Logitech Setpoint completely destroyed my PC so I can't even boot to
safe mode. I have installed XP on E: in order to reach my files on C:

How do I manually backup everything from Office Outlook (not Express)?
I need all email folders, contacts, tasks, calendar and even settings
if possible. I suppose I can't use the export function when using the
E: XP.

Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

Thanks!

See http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm. No export is ever needed to back up Outlook data, only to back up rules.

Hi,

For personal users who do not have an Exchange Server, Outlook data is stored in Personal Folder files (*.pst). Outlook uses Personal Folder files to store Information such as
messages, contacts, calendar, tasks, etc.

Before you perform the following steps, please refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base (KB) articles to learn more about backing up the Outlook data and Office program
settings.
