There isn't one - what's the question? Someone may be able to answer.

Hi Herb,

Generally the Word viewer will show any 'pending' (those not accepted/rejected) revisions that were saved with the document. It
doesn't have the choices for switching off the display choices that Word has, but you can print from the Word viewer without the
markup/revisions from the 'print what' choice in File=>Print in the Word viewer.

============
Is there a way to prevent Word Viewer 2003 from showing revisions?

I think I tried all the options under Tools > Options, and I also looked
at http://office.microsoft.com/en-gb/assistance/HA011298331033.aspx, but
I couldn't find a relevant setting.

Hi Bob,

thanks for confirming that the revisons can't be turned off - a great
pity, IMHO.

As far as I remember they were either not shown in the previous version
of the Viewer or there was an option to turn them off, and I don't like
this "improvement" :-(

In fact I might go back to the older vesion of the viewer - presumably
it is still available from somewhere?

By the way, I have another WordViewer question:

When I need to edit a doc file I open it via "Alt+F" followed by "E",
which opens the file in MS Word but leaves an empty MS Viewer window.

Might there be a way of closing the 'orphaned' MS Viewer window
automatically in this situation?
