Which Identities folders to keep in the MUD

Have successfully installed and updated Office 2008 over 2004.
In the Microsoft User Data folder there are now three Identities folders.

Identities 388KB
Office 2004 Identities 91MB
Office 2008 Identities 94MB

All seems well with 2008, so can I trash the 2004 Identities folder.
And is the 388KB Identities folder a throwback to Word X, or Office X from long ago? Or what is it, please?

"Identities" is for Outlook Express 5, a Classic application from before
Entourage was released.

If everything is working with Office 2008, you can delete the contents of
the "Office 2004 Identities" and "Identities" folders. Don't forget to
backup your 2008 data regularly!

Thanks Mickey
So, even though it is empty, I can also trash the Outlook Express Temp folder which is in my MUD? Or am I getting things wrong? You say delete the "contents" of the "Office 2004 Identities" and "Identities" folders. Does that mean delete the folders along with the contents or are they needed there for any reason even though empty? For instance the Outlook Express Temp folder was created, for some reason, by something, in late 2002 even though I'd not used Outlook Express for years.

Temp folder can be deleted and a new one will be created when Entourage
starts up. It just holds attachments.

The best solution is to rename your Microsoft User Data folder as Old
Microsoft User Data folder. Let Entourage create a new one. Now you will see
what is the default files needed. You can drag over and replace the new
Office 2008 Identity folder from the old one. If you have any rules you
would like to use copy them over.

Delete the old folder after you are satisfied you got everything needed.
