Which MS Project Offering is Right For Me?

M

Montezz

I am assigned with figuring out what type of Licensing our company
needs for Project, starting with which "Project" product to get. I am
new to "Project"

I am trying to find a bulletized comparison chart or something
explaining why I would need which Project Product.

So I go to http://www.microsoft.com/projectserver/ and I find a link
titled "Which Microsoft Project 2002 Offering Is Right for You?" This
is exactly what I need! Yay! Dead link. Boo.

Could anyone direct me somewhere that has helpful info?

TIA for any help

Suggest you start at
http://office.microsoft.com/home/office.aspx?assetid=FX01085795.
The "which edition" page at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/project/howtobuy/choosing.mspx seems to
work for now. (I think your links are for older versions).

Despite the brevity of my answer, (and you may know this already but I
have the urge to say it anyway) this is a huge question requring more
than just figuring out type of Licensing your company needs. The first
question should be "what type of project management is needed by your
company", and to help answer that you have to figure out where you are
and where you want to go. Suggest you get the Chief Project Manager (I
hope there is such person) to head up this study.
