Which program and template do I use to print my own newspaper?

I plan to print my own newspaper at my college. Its going to be a satirical
collection of articles not unlike the onion. I cant find any templates in
either word or publisher to accomplish this. Id much rather prefer the old
time one page newspapers from revolutionary days. The type of paper that is
about 8 by 15 or so instead of 11. Also it would be good to print on the
back as well.
