Which query is being executed by my Word mail merge

How do I determine which query is being executed by my Word mail merge? I need to make a change, but can't find a way to figure out which query is associated with a merge I inhereted

It would be helpful to know the version of Word you are using since
the Mail Merge feature was modified in Word 2002.

Without knowing more, either go to Tools/Mail Merge and click the
"Query Options" or turn on the Mail Merge toolbar, locate "Mail Merge
Recipients", click the drop down for any column heading and select
"Advanced". Which route you need to take depends on the your version
of Word.
