Which version of office.

Whilst my computer is fairly well up to date my son is
still using WindowsME. What is the latest version of
Office that I can get him?

Hi Oz,

Windows is the operating system and Office is the application. At the moment, the latest version of Windows is Windows XP while the latest version of Office is Office 2003. Before you decide on what upgrade you would like to get for your son, make sure you are aware of the minimum requirements for your choice of version and compare it with your "fairly well up to date" computer.

Perhaps I wasn't quite clear in my question, my son still
has ME and I wanted to know what was the latest version
of Office I could get him that would work with that
version of Windows. I am aware that Windows is the OS and
Office is the APP.

Office XP or 2000, anything later requires Unicode support which Me doesn't
have.

Office XP (2002) is the latest version you can install on ME. If you want to
run Office 2003 you must upgrade to at least Win2K ( recommend WinXP Pro)
