Take a look at the "About" screen under help, it should indicate whether it
is Standard, Technical or Professional. Another way is to check in the
directory that contains Visio32.exe. If there is a DLL like VISPR32.dll
then you have Visio Professional. VISTK32.dll indicates you have Visio
Technical.
For future reference, Visio 2000 SP1 is the oldest version that qualifies
for an upgrade. Since the next version is not to be released soon, you have
some time to decide if you want to upgrade. Usually when a new version is
released, the oldest acceptable version for an upgrade is changed. So for
the next version, Visio 2000 SP1 may not qualify. In the past, there has
been a grace period after a new version has been released to upgrade to the
replaced version and get a free upgrade to the new version.
