while typing messages, text comes up slow.

This is a new problem that just started. In MS Outlook 2003, When typing
messages the text is very slow in coming up. If I type too fast I see
nothing until I hesitate. Then the words pop up.

The problem seems to be intermittent. After sending this help request, the
problem stopped. Now tonight, Outlook is running very slow in general. I am
using a high speed internet connection called "Road Runner". Could the net be
the problem?
