Regardless of matting method, Office XP consistently
prints a white halo around masked color images (GIFs,
PNGs, etc.) precisely at the point where the
transition from color to transparency should be complete.
Though Office XP displays these images properly, it does
not send the correct transparency
information to the printer. Office XP documents printed to
Adobe Acrobat are no better than those sent directly to a
color printer. The only known solution is to print all
Office XP documents using Office 97, which does not have
this problem.
Any help would be appreciated.
