White Text on Worksheet Tab?

J

Jared Larrabee

I recently opened excel and the tab text is white rather than black. I can't
figure out what I did or how to change it back to Black so that I can read
the tabs easily!
Any help would be very appreciated!

This is a bug that, IIRC and you're referring to XLv.X, was corrected by
applying the updaters found at

MacTopia Downloads:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/downloads.aspx

Make sure you then repair disk permissions by running the Disk Utiility
application in the Applications:Utilities folder.

For me this turned out to be a corrupted file. First open Excel from the
application itself, not by clicking a file, and then create a new workbook.
The tabs should be normal.

Now quit Excel and double click the questionable file to start Excel. If the
tabs are now white then the file is corrupt. Save the file as slyk and trash
the original file. The new file should be ok.

At least that was what I had to do.

Hope this helps.
