Hello Mike,
Glad to know you were able to get the full "Who Does What When" report
to work after expanding the Resource Usage view and thanks for the
feedback.
To your new question. The "Resource Range" filter you are using
looks for the number you specify in the Resource ID field. Included
in the filter definition is the criteria "Assignment equals No", so
assignment rows are omitted. However, changing the "Assignment
equals" to "Yes" doesn't work because assignments do not have a ID
field so nothing is returned by the filter.
A workaround that you could use would be to insert a custom field
(Flag, Text, etc.) and use that field to code not only the resource
but apply the same code to the assignments for that resource. (I'd use
the fill down command to speed things along). Then create a custom
filter using that field.
An example using the Text1 field and the resource's initials:
Add the Text1 field to the Resource Usage view. Right click on the
Text1 column heading and in the Customize Fields dialog box, click the
Formula button. In the Formula dialog , enter [Initials]. Click OK
the close both dialog boxes. You should now see the resource's
initials in the Text1 field on the resource row. Select the Resource
row and the assignments rows for that resource and choose Edit > Fill
Down to copy the initials.
Create a custom filter using Project > Filtered For, More filters,
New. Name the filter anything you'd like. Create the filter
definition as follows:
Field Name: Text1
Test: Contains
Value: "Enter the resource's initials"?
When you run the filter, a dialog box will pop up asking for the
resource's initials. Enter the initials and Project will return any
resource or assignment where Text1 contains that resource's initials.
You can now edit the "Who Does What When" report definition and add
the custom filter you created.
I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
