Who needs c:\bar.emf?

Visio 2007
Using the drawing control in a MFC application.
When a drawing is loaded (putSrc) file c:\bar.emf is created,
containing the loaded image.
For any change in the document, c:\bar.emf is re-created.
Does anybody know why that file is created and how to disable its
creation?
