Whole notebook lost!

B

Bodger

I am new to OneNote, worked all day, and at the end (perhaps tired) went to
'File' and clicked on 'Close Notebook', not knowing that this deletes the
whole thing - hours of notes, images, diagrams and all. (It is now nowhere
to be found.) How can I recover that closed notebook?
Very grateful for any help.

You can re-open the notebook. Go to File->Open->Notebook. Select the
folder that the notebook is contained in, and click open. By default,
your notebooks are stored in "My Documents\OneNote Notebooks".

I am very grateful to you. And, of course, I am an idiot, plunging in to use
a new application without reading the guide notes first.
Very best wishes.

Nothing is deleted.

Just re-open the notebook-and leave it open so it appears next time you
launch OneNote. OneNote saves automatically while you work.

Closing a notebook is no different to closing a Word or Excel document.
