Why a Word 2003 lockup when pasting from Yahoo mail (IE6)?

When trying to paste text from a Yahoo e-mail message to Word 2003, Word
locks up. However, same message pasts into Wordpad just fine. Am running XP
Pro and IE 6.

If you use Edit - Paste Special, what format is listed as the default for
what you're trying to paste? Can you paste using a different format?
