Why after 98 to XP upgrade doesn't Access macros work?

I have upgraded from Windows 98 to XP SR2 on a 1.1GHz Gateway Athlon system.
I have a run time version of Access that has a macro but it no longer works.
When I try to insall the run time version it twll me I need NT SR4. The
Access database and macro were creaed on XP machne running Office 2002. Any
ideas?
