By default, Project Server 2007 contains a default field and lookup table
called RBS, which stands for Resource Breakdown Structure. Before you can
use the RBS field, you must populate the RBS lookup table with your
organization's pseudo-org chart. Then you can assign an RBS value to every
human resource in your Enterprise Resource Pool to tell Project Server "who
reports to whom."
After doing this, you can configure Project Server security settings to
control which projects and which people each user can see. Now, based on
this explanation, I have absolutely no idea why you would need to create a
multiple RBS field, so perhaps you can tell us why you think you need more
then the one included with the system. Beyond this, because you appear to
be very new to the Project Server 2007 system, I would recommend that you
purchase one or more of our company's books on the software. These books
are as follows:
Implementing and Administering Microsoft Office Project Server 2007
http://projectserverbooks.com/books/implementingadministeringprojectserver2007.aspx
Managing Enterprise Projects using Microsoft Office Project Server 2007
http://projectserverbooks.com/books/managingprojectsprojectserver2007.aspx
The first book will help you learn better how to setup and configure the
Project Server 2007 system, including the RBS field and lookup table. The
second book shows you how project managers should actually use the software.
Hope this helps.
