Why are additional days added for single day events?

After importing data into Outlook 2007, many of my Calendar events have been
changed. Single day events - like birthdays - now are spread over two days.
Example - Bob's birthday is October 15th. On my calendar it is displayed as
October 15th through October 16th. It's happened twice in the last week.
Does anyone know how to eliminate the additional day added?

This is usually caused by a mismatch between Windows tme zone/DST settings
and those same settings in Outlook's Calendar.
