Why are deleted emails not going into deleted item folder?

Are you hitting the Del key or Shift+Del when you delete the item?

Just how are you "deleting an email"? What keys, mouse clicks, or
what are you doing to perform the delete?

Did you check what view you have on the Deleted Items folder?

Do you have multiple accounts? If so, are they all Exchange or POP3
accounts, or something else, like IMAP4?

I am using the mouse to highlight the email then the drop down menu to
delete. Also the "X" delete button on the menu bar next to send and receive.
I just have one account.

This is so puzzelling today when I deleted items they showed up in the
deleted items box, until about 1/2 hour ago....now when they are deleted they
disappear.
