Why Are Entourage Color Categories Incorrect Colors

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Processor: Intel I decided to try assigning categories to my emails based on senders and was shocked to see the color palette of standard colors (e.g., Red, Green...) are not even close to the Apple palette. For example, "Red" in Entourage is more like a pink - everything is very bland and muted.

How do I reset the standard category colors palette so that red is red, orange is orange, etc. All the standard colors now are so muted one can hardly tell them apart. I checked Entourage 2004 and it does not have this problem. Are my prefs hosed up? This is very frustrating!

In Entourage, select Edit menu --> Categories --> Edit Categories. Click
on the color swatch of any category and select Other... to select a
color of your choice.

I realize I can select alternate colors - but why does Entourage "Red" not come close to matching actual Red? or Green - or any standard color?

Where did these colors come from? Are my application settings messed up? The standard Entourage colors to pick from don't come close to matching the standard colors in Entourage 2004 - that's my issue. Is this normal, or do I have a corrupted application?

I can only suggest you just accept it. The colors are muted by default,
probably for easier reading when used as both text color and as a
background color.
