For the last couple of days all my emails are being received by recipients in
multi part MIME format and I don't know why. I haven't changed any settings.

Am using Microsoft Outlook 2007 under VISTA

Can anyone help ??

What do you have set under Tools->Options->Mail Format tab->International
Options? Is it User defined?

No it's not User Defined - it's set to Western European (ISO)
Have looked at a couple of other forums and I don't seem to be only person
having this problem. There are a number of reports of this happening in last
couple of days.

Outlook has always sent (HTML) messages in multipart MIME format, at
least since Outlook 2000.

There seems to be a problem recently that this information has slipped
from the message headers to the message body, possibly by the insertion
of a blank line.

If this has been caused by a recent Office update, then I'm sure that
Microsoft will issue a fix ASAP, as it seems to be discussed all over
the Internet.

I un-installed the recent Office updates, and rebooted (both steps were
necessary). For me, the updates were installed automatically Thursday the
11th, so I focused on removing those.

And attachments are working properly again.

A Christmas miracle!

After suffering with this problem all weekend its cured itself. Emails
are correctly formatted now. Very wierd. Have checked the Update
history and it says no other updates have happened today. If it wasn't
for the fact that other people were having the same problems then I
would have thought I was going mad!

How do i uninstall updates ???
I'm a little bit technophobic !

Vista : Start -> Control Panel -> Programs -> Uninstall a program. One
of the tasks on the left hand side is 'View installed updates'. Click
that and you can see all the updates that have installed. Select one
and press uninstall.

Must be something similar if on XP.

As I said though, I didn't uninstall anything. It just started working
late this afternoon.

Thanks for this Andy - but after i posted the updates question I tried
another test and mine was working too. Don't know how, or why - just pleased
it is !
