Why are my incoming messages displayed in plain text in Outlook 20

Why are some of my incoming messages being displayed in plain text? I want
them all in HTML format. I have not changed the setting in the Trusted Email
security option so that's not it. Please help.

No, because when I use outlook express or windows mail, they were showing up
as HTML

Then you'll have to provide more configuration information.
Outlook 20 is not a valid version to refer to.

This newsgroup is for any version of Outlook.

When you open the message, is there a bar between the message and the
message header telling you about the conversion? If not, the conversion is
not done by Outlook. It could have been caused by some malware protection
suite that you have installed and integrates with Outlook.

The only thing it says in the blue bar is "extra line breaks in this message
were removed". So I know somethings being done just not sure what. Do you
think that comes from Outlook? I do have McAfee installed but I don't think
that's interfering.

I think that is an indication that the messages are in Plain Text. So,
either you have Outlook configured to convert them or your senders are using
Plain Text.

Ok thanks. I wish I could change the font for plain text. It looks like a
typewriter font and it's so ugly and irritating. :) Not to mention when I
respond to the emails, it converts my signature to plain text as well.

Since Plain Text has no font (except on your own PC), you can't change it.
You can change the font used to display Plain Text, but if you send it to
someone, they'll not see what you see.

Naturally a formatted signature won't contain any format in Plain Text
because you cannot format Plain Text.
