Why Are My Posts 1 Hour Ahead

That struck me a bit earlier when I posted after you, and yet it showed up before yours. What was
it, only Adrian (Dollar Sign meaning) has the same problem. Is it just daylight saving time or
something?

While my clock was set to the correct time, the Time Zone was wrong, U.S.
Central time instead of U.S. Eastern Time. Oddly enough, when I made the
change to the time zone the clock didn't change. I would have thought those
were somehow connected, ie change the time zone and the time would
automatically change, but it didn't.

I just noticed that the time of my posts is one hour ahead of everyone
else's. I'm using Outlook Express with Windows 98 Second Edition to read
this newsgroup and the time on my computer's clock is correct, and is the
time that appears with my posts. I recently reloaded all of my software so
I probably missed something because I know this was not a problem before the
reconfiguration of my computer.

You are expected to set the correct time, then tell Windows what time zone you are in.

Myrna,

When I change the time zone in my PALM, the time that is displayed changes
accordingly. I assumed (you know what they say about assuming) that Windows
would work in a similar fashion and was surprised that it did not.
