I created a Word template and put it in my startup folder. I add menu items
via the Tools, customize, macros under the Commands tab. That is, I select a
macro and then drag it to a custom heading and then name it something
meaninful. Lets say, A, B, and C using calls to 3 different macros in my
template. Someone else edits the same template and I replace the template on
my machine with the editted one. The edits this user made was to remove B
and added a D. Even after a reboot and reinstalling Word, when I launch Word
and select my custom menu, A, B, and C are still shown. I then go to Tools,
customize and close it down and now I see A, C, and D. However, I close Word
and go back in and sure enough, A, B, and C are listed once again. Why is
this so? The only way I can get around this issue I know of is to once
again, edit the Menu items via the Tools, customize, macros, command tab but
I do not want to do this every time someone in my group needs to edit the
template.
