Why are sent items being auto deleted?

For some reason my sent items are being auto deleted. I don't see any
settings to do this and I have not changed any settings in years. Thanks for
the assist.

Hi Diane, no I am not using a view that hides read messages. I just
experimented with views but could not find out how I would hide read
messages.

To expand a bit, I'm using Outlook 2003 and about a week ago all of my sent
emails were just gone....quite a shock....since then my sent mails were in
the folder, about 30 or so, and then poof this morning those were gone as
well.

Appreciate the assist....Doug
