Why are the dimensions of wmf files different in Visio 2003?

We used the wmf export to create many displays using Visio 5.0. It appears
that the same displays when exported using Visio 2003 have different
dimensions than with 5.0. Any ideas what is different. all help is
appreciated.

If you are seeing subtle differences, that would be explained by a switch in
rendering engines in Visio 2002.

I realize there was a change in the rendering engine; however, in order to
prevent from re-doing 1000's of displays, is there a workaround that will
allow for us to actually use the new version software and have it export the
same as visio 95. The Visio 95 worked quite well in the past, and we have had
to continue using it due to the vast amount of displays that had been created
with it and Visio 2003's inability to export in the same manner.

As you have discovered, the workaround in this case would be to use the
older version of Visio for this task. Visio 2002 and 2003 do not have both
the old rendering engine and new rendering engine, so they are not able to
"fall back" to the previous code.
