Why aren't my emails with attachments going through?

I have prepared my document, saved it, clicked Publisher's Tasks, clicked
Send As Attachment, completed email transmittal form, clicked Send; but it
isn't being transmitted. Can someone please tell me why? I am using
Publisher 2007.
