Why can I not delete some items in the Deleted Folder?

When I try to delete some msg's in the Outlook deleted file, some of the
msg's will not delete. I get a msg - messaging interface has returned an
unknown error, if problem persists close and restart outlook. When I close
and restart outlook, I get the same error msg. I have tried doing a restart
of the computer and the problem still persists. Some msg's go ahead and
deletes but others will not, some are spam and some msg's are not. I am
using Outlook 2007.

Hi Vern,

I'm having the same problem. Plus I'm also having the problem where, when I
try to delete an email or move it to a different folder, it will tell me the
box is full, and there's only 21 emails in the folder, it can't be full.
Have you had this problem or any success at fixing the other one?

does it work if you press Shift+Delete?

Which version of outlook and how big is your pst?

Try running scanpst.exe against your Outlook data file with Outlook closed.

Hi Diane,

No the Shift+Delete didn't work. I'm using Miscroft Enterprise Outlook 2007
with a Vista operating system, and I'm sorry, I'm not computer savy enough to
know what a pst is and how to find out how big it is? If you can tell me how
to locate the size I can let you know.
