Why Can't Anyone Help??? Office 2003!!

I am getting well fed up, no one not even the mighty MS themselves seem
to be able to answer the problem.

Every time I try to do a detect and repair or change the installation of
my MS Office 2003 products I get the same error.

"The installation source for this product is not available. Verify that
the source exists and that you can access it."

I have installed, uninstalled, used windows cleanup utility and the
problem still comes straight back!! I have updated the windows installer
to 3.1, nothing makes any difference. I have run LISTOOL to remove the
local files etc. Used it to try to resetup the local LIS, but then
LISTOOL returns error code 0x80070057!!! EH??!!

The problem is now affecting none MS apps that also use the windows
installer, such as Serif and Corel Apps.

This is driving me mental!! I have posted this problem at least 6 times
on various forums (including this one) and no one can help. I have
raised support with MS and all those losers do is ignore half the data
you give them about the problem (and hence miss understand the
problem)and refer you to the same old garbage articles you've read 6
million times before!

Can anyone save my sanity??

Well, since no one from the "mighty" MS monitors these peer-to-peer news groups (except on a volunteer basis), I doubt that anyone from MSFT would spring into action to answer you now.

If the problem is so urgent, then I suggest you use Microsoft Product Support Services and spend your $35 for expert assistance.

When the error appears, have you tried putting in the "installation source"
CD into the drive. This is the installation CD for MS Office 2003. Perhaps
that is the problem. Good luck.
