I'm trying to track down why a user on my network can't open or even save a
particular file. He can't do a save as and rename it or the extension.
The file "Postdata.att" is being generated off our webpage and being emailed
as an attachment. The user who received this attachment gets the following
error.
The error reads:
"Can't create file: Postdata.att. Right-click the folder you wanted to
create the file in, then click properties on the shortcut menu to check your
permissions for the folder."
The contents of the file looks like this.
Name=Veronica+Peters&EmpId2=&select=Boardroom&Date=Oct+15%2C+2004&select2=11-20&Location=&select3=None
The file is being generated byt the brouser using HTML.
I'm not the programmer of the web page, I'm the person trying to get the
user so he can open this file.
The user is using Windows XP and has Administrative rights to the local
machine.
He's using Outlook 2000 (part of Office Pro.)
I beleive the PC is up to date on service packs for both XP and Office.
I can't think of any reason he can't open the file.
Any help would be appreciated.
