Why can't I change my password in Outlook 2001 for Mac

My setup:

Exchange 2003 native mode, running on Windows 2003 server.

Mac OS 9.22 with DAVE 5.0 for file sharing.

Outlook 2001 for Mac connecting via TCP/IP to Exchange server.

The security settings NTLMv2 have been lowered so that DAVE can connect as
well...

Any ideas?

Outlook 2001 does not understand NTLM v1 or v2, as it uses a special
implementation of LMHash.
