why can't I download pictures into my 2oo3 Microsoft picture manag

J

JamesD

I keep trying to save pictures into my Micro. pic. manager and they all turn
into a red 'x' for some reason. doesn't matter if it's from a email
attachment or pic off of any site.
Why would I not be able to save pics?

B

Bob I

r-click on the Picture and select Save AS, then Pick a location on your
hard-drive to put it. Then open Picture Manager to look at it.

J

JamesD

They still just keep appearing as little red 'x'.
i tried r-clicking and saving to the hard drive, then opening it.
i tried save as and saved it in documents.
i tried r-click, open in new window then save as.

they all show up as a little red 'x'.
on the troubleshooting, it says if that happens the pic is corrupt. But just
to verify they weren't I saved, and with no problems, the same pics to my
work pc.

thanks for the reply Bob. any more suggestions?
anyone?

this is getting pretty annoying. i feel like un-installing ms2003 and
finding a new program.

thanks for any help.

could the problem be, that when I try to save an image, the
'Save as Type' box only lets me save as ART file, no jpg, or gif, etc.
could this be the problem? if so, how do I make it let me save the files as
jpg or gif?

Go online with AOL, minimize it and open Internet Explorer. Go to the sites
you need and get your photos there. As for the one that was emailed to you,
was it sent as a .ART file? If so, ask the person who created it to change
the format.
