Why can't I fax from Word 2000 anymore?

Once upon a time I used to fax a document like this:

File> Send To> Fax Recipient...

Then the Send Fax Wizard comes up and I go through the dialog. Now I get
only that far and the hour glass (wait) comes up and nothing happens.


Or, If I try this:

File> Print... and then choose fax from the drop down menu, I get "Welcome
to the Send Fax Wizard" dialog. When I click "next" to continue, I get a
little error box:

"Fax server information cannot be retrieved. The Fax wizard will close now."

Anyone have any Ideas what is wrong?
